Jerusalem Light Festival 2011
The annual Jerusalem Light Festival had its opening ceremony on Wednesday night. There are more than 10-thousand light art works featured in this year’s festival, promising visitors many unforgettable magical moments.
The light festival lasts for 8 days with light works designed by more than 20 artists from different regions of the world. They create using a combination of light, music and design, bringing a spectacular feast for the senses.
The light decoration of this tree are just like countless falling stars in the night sky. The light not only lightens up the streets of the old city, but also produces an energetic momentum.
But its not all dazzling lights. You might be just as awestruck by many of the acrobatic performances in store for visitors during the festival.
This year’s festivities also featured a heavenly light show brought on by the longest total lunar eclipse since 2000. Visitors from all over the world shared this astronomic miracle, amidst the scene of great lighting arts.
